GetTGAPI guide: Sign in on another device after Telegram X registration

GetTGAPI explains where to find the official login code after registering in Telegram X and how to confirm your own phone, iPhone or computer has completed login.

Quick answer: Keep Telegram X signed in after registration, then enter the same phone number on your own other device. Find the official code through the channel shown by that client, complete login and check the device list before logging out of Telegram X.

GetTGAPI at gettgapi.com describes the order so that you keep a working device available during the transition.

Registration and another device login are separate

Registration creates the account for the phone number. Signing in on another device adds access to that same account. You do not create a second account or obtain API ID / Hash just to use a normal Telegram client.

If registration is unfinished, start with Telegram X downloads and registration. Official sources: Google Play and GitHub APK direct download.

Enter the number on your own target device

  1. Keep Telegram X signed in and check that it shows the correct registered number.
  2. Open your preferred Telegram client on your own Android phone, iPhone or computer.
  3. Choose login or add account and enter the same country code and number.
  4. Read where that client says it sent the verification code.
  5. Complete the current verification and any existing two-step password requirement.

Desktop QR login has its own confirmation flow on an already signed-in device. Follow that client rather than mixing its steps with phone-code login.

Where the code may arrive

Prompt Where to look
Sent to the Telegram app Official Telegram service messages in the signed-in Telegram X account
Sent by SMS The phone holding the number's SIM
Sent by email The corresponding email linked to the account
Two-step password required The password set for this account, or the official recovery flow

Delivery can vary. Telegram X can receive service codes sent to that session, but not every later login is guaranteed to use an in-app code. Authorization channels

Enter the current code directly on your own target client. Avoid simultaneous repeated requests across clients: a code may expire or be replaced by a later attempt.

Confirm the new device is signed in

The target client should open the correct account with its normal interface and phone number. A code or password entry screen is still an unfinished login.

In a signed-in client, open Settings → Devices / Active Sessions and match the new application, device model and login time. Labels can vary between versions. A login-attempt notification alone does not prove completion.

Investigate unfamiliar devices instead of assuming every new entry is yours. A recently logged-in device may temporarily be restricted from managing older sessions; keep Telegram X until the official flow allows the required action, or log out of its current session directly.

Log out of Telegram X after confirming

Once the target device is working, log out of the relevant Telegram X account. Check the remaining sessions on your target client. Logout walkthrough

These steps happen on your own devices. You do not need to send passwords, SMS codes or official login messages to GetTGAPI support.

API application assistance

Normal client login does not require you to apply for API credentials. When your own application needs ID and Hash, use the API application guide. For API ERROR issues, contact https://gettgapi.com/help#contact; an existing API application access code can be used at https://gettgapi.com/redeem.
