Telegram X is an Android app. An iPhone user can register on an Android device they control, then sign in on their iPhone. Keep verification codes on your own devices. For manual installation, allow only the needed download source; investigate incompatibility or security warnings rather than disabling device protection.
Enter your phone number
Use a number you hold or are explicitly authorized to operate, and confirm that its SIM phone can receive SMS. Choose the correct country code. For China, +86 is the country code; do not enter it twice if it is already selected separately.
Enter the number in Telegram X and check it before continuing. Submitting a phone number alone does not complete registration.
Complete email verification if it appears
Some attempts ask for an email first, while others proceed straight to phone verification. Follow the current prompt rather than adding an unnecessary step.

- Check the inbox and spam folder for the official verification email.
- Submit that attempt's email code in Telegram X.

Submit the SMS code
Read the delivery channel first. If it says SMS, check the phone holding the SIM. If it says the Telegram app, check an already signed-in client for the official service message.

Confirm registration is complete
Complete any required name details and terms confirmation. Verify that you have entered the account, that its phone number is correct and that the client is usable.
If an existing account opens, the number was already registered; this was a login. Handle any two-step password according to that account's real settings.
Sign in on your usual device before logging out
