Identify what you are verifying

Obtaining API ID / API Hash, signing into a Telegram client and redeeming a GetTGAPI access code are separate workflows. A phone-number field does not establish that SMS will follow. Receiving application credentials does not mean a user account has been authorized.

This reading guide helps interpret authorization prompts. GetTGAPI does not offer account registration or hosted login. For the developer portal, use the application guide.

The official authorization reference

The official user-authorization documentation describes handling the type returned after auth.sendCode. auth.sentCodeTypeApp targets existing signed-in sessions; auth.sentCodeTypeSms identifies SMS. Email, two-step verification, device checks or payment conditions may also apply. Delivery is server-selected: a third-party implementation cannot guarantee free SMS or a particular route. Consult the original for all conditions.

GetTGAPI workflow comparison

The following guidance distinguishes credentials and authorization flows by their purpose.

What you see Appropriate action What it does not establish
gettgapi.com requests an access code Enter the code obtained from support or your sales channel It is not a Telegram login code
The application form requests a number and portal code Match the current portal message; do not send the code to support This is not a request to sign into your chat client
A result shows ID and Hash Save them securely, then confirm deletion of the temporary result No third-party client has thereby been authorized
Another application requests account verification Check that application’s purpose and instructions It is not a GetTGAPI portal step

Do not move a code from one client into an unrelated workflow. Keep the page URL and prompt, then establish whether the message belongs to the same operation.

Designing status feedback in your own software

Our implementation lesson is to display confirmed state. Request submission, upstream acceptance, actual receipt by the user and a verified result are different evidence. Show delivery-specific instructions only when the route is known. “No request error” must not become “your phone definitely received an SMS.”

For an uncertain response, preserve task context and reconcile state before repeating an operation. Give customers understandable actions and keep sanitized diagnostics in management logs. These are engineering recommendations, not delivery-success guarantees.

Missing a developer-portal code

Start with the missing-code guide, rather than treating an account-registration article as portal troubleshooting. At gettgapi.com/en/help#contact, describe the step and time. Do not send verification codes, two-step passwords or a complete API Hash.
