Poll options have identities

Polls, quizzes and open-answer polls expose different behavior. Submit option identifiers rather than visual positions, then process result updates. Voter visibility depends on anonymity and permissions; bots do not receive every vote from arbitrary polls.

Checklist IDs must remain stable

Collaborative checklists control whether others may append or complete items. IDs are unique within a list. Preserve the identity of retained items when editing so completion state remains associated correctly. Creation eligibility and limits depend on current capabilities and configuration.

Interaction recommendations

Show submission progress while retaining the previous result, and restore it on failure. Avoid replacing concurrent edits with a stale full-list copy. Distinguish closing a poll or deleting an item from withdrawing one user’s choice.
