Folders and archives are different concepts

UI chat folders correspond to dialog filters with inclusion and exclusion rules. The lower-level peer-folder mechanism is primarily used for archiving in official applications, not arbitrary named tabs. Shared folders have dedicated structures and flows.

Saved messages retain distinct identities

Saved Messages is the chat with yourself; saved dialogs organize content by origin. Source messages and saved copies need separate IDs, reply relationships and origin fields. Do not implement saved content as a mere filter on the source-message table.

Frequent-peer ranking can be disabled

Top-peer ratings are category-specific and depend on configured decay. contacts.toggleTopPeers controls the feature, while topPeer contains a peer and rating. This is not a public measure of an account’s value.

Navigation recommendations

Separate search, filtering, archiving and moving. Preserve scroll position per tab and isolate suggested contacts by account. When frequent-peer suggestions are disabled, handle cached suggestions too so stale recommendations do not remain visible.
